Official Rules - “Rock Star” Sweepstakes

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR VIEWING IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW.

The “Rock Star” Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") will begin at 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time (PST) on May 20, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Start Date") and end at 11:59pm PST on September 15, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Sweepstakes is sponsored by the Pacific World Corporation, 25800 Commercentre Drive, Lake Forest, CA 92630 (“Sponsor") who is solely responsible for all aspects of this sweepstakes. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. (excludes Alaska, Hawaii), 13 years of age or older, as of May 20, 2008. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, member magazines, advertising and promotion agencies, (collectively including Sponsor, “Sweepstakes Entities”) their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouses) and persons living in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.

One Way to Enter: Enter by simply completing the online Sweepstakes registration form located at www.fingrs.com/edge/rockstar. Registration information consists of Date of Birth, First and Last name, zip code, phone number and email address. If an entrant resides in a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, he/she must obtain parental/legal guardian consent prior to entering or submitting any personally identifiable information. All entries must be received by 11:59pm PST on September 15, 2008. Limit of one entry per person/per mailing address. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an entrant who submits more than the stated maximum limit of entries by using multiple/different e-mail addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods, or who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with, influence or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incorrect, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification of all such entries as well as the entrant. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service will apply.

Internet Limitations of Liability: If for any reason this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the prizes using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of this termination date. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Prizes: There will be One (1) Grand Prize winner, One (1) First Prize winner, One (1) Second Prize winner, One (1) Third Prize winners, and One (1) Fourth Prize winner. The Grand Prize winner will receive a 3day/2 night trip for two(2) to Hollywood, California and Two (2) VIP Passes to the Mylin Concert (the “Event”), a Daisy Rock Guitar with Amp, two (2) Mini Makeovers, (2) Fresh Films Video Cameras, and one month Supply of Fing’rs Edge for two(2). The trip includes round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations. The Approximate Retail Value of the Trip is $3,950. The winner will receive air transportation for two (2) people from the major commercial airport nearest the winner’s home. Stopovers are not permitted on flight voucher issued and, if a stopover occurs, the prize will terminate at the stopover point and full fare will be charged for the remaining segments of the flight. The Sponsor (or Sponsor designee), in its sole discretion, will determine transportation and lodging accommodations. The travel, event tickets and accommodations can not exceed the maximum allowable prize amount of $3,950. While prize suppliers will make every effort to confirm reservations as requested, operational and/or market conditions may prevent them from doing so on the requested dates. Travel, event tickets and accommodations are subject to capacity controls, availability, blackout dates and other restrictions, all of which are subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner and his/her guest will be solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein including but not limited to taxes, gratuities, souvenirs, telephone, in-room services and any other incidentals. Travel and accommodations subject to availability; and certain restrictions may apply. Winner and travel companion must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents. If travel companion is a minor, parent or legal guardian must sign and return release and accompany minor on trip. The Prize awarded consisting of products/services for two people require that you and your companion redeem the prize together. The Grand Prize will be deemed awarded upon the winner’s receipt of event tickets (and/or vouchers) and travel/lodging confirmation. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen travel vouchers or certificates. By accepting the prize, prize winner agrees to release Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by entering the promotion or for damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of prize awarded, or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to and from any prize-related activity. All local, state and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. If the event portion of prize is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason, Sponsor will not be responsible for awarding that portion of the prize, but the remainder of the prize package will be awarded. The trip must be completed by September 30, 2009 or prize will be forfeited.

The First Prize winner will receive a Daisy Rock Guitar with Amplifier and Fing’rs Edge/Mylin Nail Products. The ARV of the First prize is $400. The Second Prize winner will receive a Freshi Film Camera Package and Fing’rs Edge/Mylin Nail Products. The ARV of the Second prize is $300. The Third Prize winner will receive a Mylin Gift Package and Fing’rs Edge/Mylin Nail Products. The ARV of the prize is $200. The Fourth Prize winner will receive a Fing’rs Edge Nail Products. The ARV of the prize is $75.

The aforementioned Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash. There are no substitutions unless specified by the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute any prize package with another prize of equal or greater value in the event that the prize (or any component thereof) is not available

Drawing and Notification: The potential Grand Prize Winner will be selected, from among all eligible entries received, in a random drawing conducted on or about September 30, 2008 by American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co. (“the Administrator”) an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by phone and/or mail. Upon initial notification and verification of potential Grand Prize winner, confirmation will be sent to winner in writing via USPS mail, or other home delivery service of Sponsor’s choice.

Prize Conditions: Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes (if applicable) associated with the receipt of any prize. The Grand Prize winner (his/her parent or legal guardian if a Winner resides in a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor) will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, and return it within 14 days of written notification. Travel companion (his/her parent or legal guardian if the travel Companion resides in a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor) must also execute and return a travel release. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. The winner’s entry, and acceptance of the prize offered, constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for the Sponsor to use said winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state), in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without notice or further compensation.

Terms & Conditions: This sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Winners and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor, vendors associated with the sweepstakes, and the respective officers and employees of these entries, from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in any part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize offered, or participation in this sweepstakes. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the sweepstakes mechanics and/or implementation will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
